Specimen Collection and Preparation
Serum or plasma samples in the following tubes:
Serum separator tube (gold or tiger top)
EDTA (lavender top) OR Heparin (green top)
Specimen Storage and Stability
Separate serum and plasma within 24 hours and store samples at the following temperatures:
Room temperature: 15°C to 30°C up to 48 hours
Refrigerated: 2°C to 8°C up to 7 days
Frozen: -20°C or lower up to 12 months. Samples should be thawed no more than 3 times.
