Test Utility
This test is used to measure glucose control in patients with or suspected of having diabetes mellitus. It measures the mean daily glucose concentration of 2-3 months and is a better indicator of dietary and medicinal control than a single glucose reading.

Specimen Storage and Stability
Store whole blood samples at the following temperatures:
Room temperature: 20°C to 25°C for no longer than 8 hours
Refrigerated: 2°C to 8°C for up to 7 days
Frozen: -20°C or lower for up to 1 month. Frozen samples should be thawed only once.
