Test Utility
This test is used to measure the amount of HDL cholesterol or high-density lipoprotein (good) cholesterol in the blood. It is typically used in conjunction with other laboratory tests such as total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and triglycerides as an indicator of risk for heart disease. High HDL levels may lower the overall risk for heart disease.
Urine Drug Screen Profile Includes:
Methodology
The HDL-Cholesterol test uses a two-reagent homogenous system to selectively measure serum or plasma HDL-Cholesterol.
