This is a qualitative assay for the identification of DNA from the yeast Candida auris from symptomatic and asymptomatic individuals.
Specimen Collection and Preparation
Copan eSwab – 1 mL minimum
Specimens should be collected from the axillary or groin regions
Specimen Storage and Stability
Store swabs at the following temperature:
Room Temperature: up to 7 days
Refrigerated: 2°C to 8°C up to 7 days
Specimen Rejection
Received outside of stability
Specimen not stored properly
Wrong collection media
< 1 mL volume
Broken or leaking container
Specimen labeled incorrectly or not labeled
