Specimen Storage and Stability
Samples should be tested as soon as possible after collection. If a delay occurs, the following is recommended:
Blood or plasma: Room temperature: 15°C to 25°C no longer than 7 hours
Plasma: Refrigerated: 2°C to 8°C up to 24 hours
Frozen plasma: -20°C or lower up to 7 days
