Methodology
Testing performed with serum on Beckman Coulter DxC 700 AU analyzer.
Test Utility
Used in the diagnosis and management of coronary atherosclerosis.
Specimen Storage and Stability
Use fresh sample for analysis when possible. If analysis is delayed specimens are stable for 5 days when stored at 2-8C. If specimens need to be stored for more than 5 days, they may be preserved at less than -70C for up to 3 months. Samples should only be frozen once.
Specimen Collection and Preparation
Serum samples are recommended, 3.0mL Gold Top or Tiger SST. Separate serum from the red blood cells as soon as possible (within 3 hours). Plasma using anticoagulants such as citrate oxalate are not recommended.

Result available after getting the specimen in 5 hours.
