Methodology
Testing performed with serum on Beckman Coulter DxC 700 AU analyzer.
Test Utility
Used for the diagnosis and treatment of kidney diseases, parathyroid gland disorders, and Vitamin D imbalance.
Specimen Storage and Stability
Serum samples are stable for eight hours when stored at room temperature (15-25C) or for more than one week when refrigerated at 2-8C.
Specimen Collection and Preparation
Serum sample, free from hemolysis, are recommended. Remove serum from clots ASAP to minimize hemolysis. EDTA, fluoride oxalate, or citrate should not be used when measuring inorganic phosphorous.
