Methodology
Testing performed with serum on Beckman Coulter DxC 700 AU analyzer.
Test Utility
Used to diagnose overdose and monitoring its levels in patients to ensure appropriate therapy.
Specimen Storage and Stability
Store the serum refrigerated at 2-8C for up to 7 days or stored frozen (-20C) for up to 6 months.
Specimen Collection and Preparation
Serum sample required, volume needs to be at least 2.0mL, Gold Top or Tiger SST. Free from hemolysis, whole blood cannot be used.

Reference Ranges
Therapeutic Peak Range = 4.0 - 8.0ug/mL
Therapeutic Trough Range = 0.5 - 1.5ug/mL
Performed
Monday - Saturday, 16 hours a day.
Result available after getting the specimen in 5 hours.
STAT results available within 2 hours of receipt in the Laboratory.
*NOTE: All Specimen Refrigerated (2-8°C) for 7 days only.
